CONTEXT
STATE Design was approached to create 2D animations for Muscles and Mayhem, a Netflix documentary series on American Gladiators in the 90’s. These animations would play over the Gladiators’ anecdotes that have no footage as archival recreations.
I was tasked with creating some of the character designs and turnarounds based on the look developed for the show, as well as creating various assets for animation, props, environments and backgrounds.

Part of my role was also to draw and color them into the scene to be brought to life by an animator.
