BRIEF
Ghost Machine is a cooperative comic book publisher through Image Comics consisting of writers and artists. They approached Plucky to design a logo for their launch announcement at New York Comic Con in 2023.
The name “Ghost Machine” was inspired by the phrase “ghost in the machine”, which describes an emerging consciousness inside a computer.

CONCEPT
The “O” is designed to represent a spotlight revealing the forms of its surrounding letters in the dark. It is alluding to the idea of searching for a ghost, while the letterforms do so for technology and machinery.
